Dear Friends,

Welcome to the campaign website for Representative Vic Gilliam. I want to thank you for the support I’ve received since being appointed to serve in the House of Representatives at the end of December of 2006. I am honored to serve the people of Aurora, Donald, Hubbard, Mollalla, Mulino, Mt. Angel, Scotts Mills and Silverton. I have spent this past year working hard to serve you, both as your voice in Salem and as an advocate throughout our community.

I am running for a second term in the House of Representatives to continue bringing accountability and common sense leadership to the legislature. There are important issues facing us –health care, land use, improved schools, and immigration reform - that need real compromise and collaboration in order to better the lives of all Oregonians. There are too many examples of miscommunication, confusing signals, and closed meetings in both the legislature and state agencies – think Bucky and Snowball. I am committed to working towards a process that will put the people of Oregon first rather than leave them feeling misled or underrepresented.

As I travel across the district during this campaign, I look forward to an opportunity to have frank discussions on issues that are important to you.
