Dear Supporters,
What a race! I hope you’ve had a chance to take a deep breath and relax after this invigorating campaign season. As you know, this was not an easy cycle for Republicans. Nothing definite, no seat secure, and yet here I stand! I’m as thankful and awestruck as when I was appointed almost two years ago.
Thank you for all of your dedication and the encouragement of our entire campaign team. From planting lawn or field signs as a vivid visual reminder of real support throughout the district, to letters to the editor that clarified issues or door-knocking and phoning voters – all added a welcomed and personal edge to winning. Wherever you pitched in, I want you to know that I am grateful. Your commitment made this victory possible.
You have represented me to your neighbors and friends in these challenging months and so I am eager to represent you in this upcoming Legislative Session. These are tough times and I am committed to stretching your tax dollars as far as possible. I am particularly excited about changing the way we fund education by putting it on the docket first and agreeing on a percentage that goes directly to the classroom. I hope you will join me in continuing a movement toward Hydrogen as a safe, viable, green energy source that will bring jobs and economic benefits to Oregonians. I encourage you to contact me with your concerns throughout the session and please drop in to the Capital for a visit anytime. It is an honor to continue to serve you in the House of Representatives and I believe that together we can build a better Oregon.
